Sometimes, it feels like we are just too frazzled to be looking our best. And if the news has come that you are unexpectedly expanding the family, you might feel that your style has somewhat gone downhill since you became a mother. But not to fear, you are not alone! It’s not just about a lack of time, but it’s also about the changes we go through in our body. And with this in mind, what other things that we can do to make ourselves feel a bit more stylish while still being mum?

Surround Yourself With Style

You might not feel you have the time to maintain yourself, but everything else around you can communicate the overriding image of style. It’s about the bigger picture! If you are financially savvy, heading to a Jaguar dealership and getting a high-end vehicle can be the motivator for you to pick yourself up. When you start to surround yourself with stylish implements, it makes you look stylish by-proxy, but it can also motivate you accordingly. It’s win-win!

Find Flattering Clothing

How many days in a row have you worn that top? It might be comfortable, but when you are heading out, it’s important to find clothing styles and types that flatter your body type, but also highlights your attributes. It all depends on your body type. For example, if you are a pear shape, A-lines, V-necks, and bell sleeves will work in your favour.

Dry Shampoo

The lifesaver to end all lifesavers! If you find that your hair gets greasy after a day and there is no time to wash your hair every 24-hours, dry shampoo will cover up a multitude of sins! It will help you to maintain your style and make you feel fresh. That way, all you need to do is get in the shower and give yourself a quick wash, even if you only have time to do that every other day!

Jeans!

It’s always tempting to put on your scruffs. But when you have a busy day, jeans are always the best option. Jeans are a fantastic way to shape your legs, but it also helps to make any outfit look more natural. Jeans go with everything, and when you are in doubt about what you should wear, it’s always going to be the denim!

Accessories

If you feel that you’ve tried your best but it’s still not making you feel good about yourself, start accessorizing. Whether you are just wearing a t-shirt and jeans, you can dress it up with a necklace, jacket, and earrings. It’s a simple thing but having a few staple pieces in your drawer will help you to dress up any outfit, especially if you think that it looks plain. Accessories are always the way to draw attention away from things that you don’t like the look of.

It is possible to stay stylish when you are a parent, but it just requires a little bit of forward planning. You may feel that you are already mentally exhausted, but this is where the little things need to become a habit.
